In the History department, each pen I’ve known gets its own set of portraits. However, there are some areas in which I feel is might be useful to have those individual portraits juxtaposed to show some principle or development, and so I have composed some compilations according to themes. Actually, “useful” is not necessarily the word to apply, as some of these are and will be mere flights of whimsy, proving very little.
