Milady

Maker: Sheaffer.

This page refers to the Balance model using this name.

Production Run: 1938 – c. 1945 (it seems to have dropped out of the line-up when the Triumphs took over the field).

Cost When New: $5.00 (for modern value, try this calculator).

Size: 12.3cm long capped, 14.6cm posted, 10.7cm uncapped.

Point: 14k gold.

BodyCelluloid.

FillerLever, capacity approx. 0.8ml or vacuum filler, capacity approx. 1.3 ml .

Sheaffer Admiral, grey striated. As with other grey models, the plating on the furniture is nickel rather than gold. The clip shape limits the age to 1936 or younger, and the point suggests it's from after the beginning of naming in 1938. This is a vacuum-filling model, with the "window pane" version of the barrel.
