Return to Waterman

Apostrophe

Maker: Waterman.

The Apostrophe is easily mistaken for the Graduate, since it’s essentially the same pen with some extra finish.  Rather than the simple chrome plating of the Graduate, this model has painted bodies and gold-plated hardware.  In all other respects, there is nothing to tell one from the other.  This model was probably meant as a replacement for the Maestro.

Perfomance is also similar to the Graduate’s, which may be described as “good enough, usually.”

Production Run: c. 1995 to c. 2010.

Cost When New: A dealer price list for 2007 shows €28, about $36.

Size: 13.6 cm long capped, 15.6 cm posted, 12.4 cm uncapped.

Point: Plated steel.

Body: Lacquered brass.

FillerCartridge, capacity approx. 0.6 ml or 1.4 ml (international pattern).
