Return to Triumph

Craftsman

Maker: SheafferYou may be looking for a different model of Craftsman, depending on vintage; there is the Balance, the Touchdown, or the TipDip version to consider This page refers to the Triumph era version.

At the low end of the line-up, this is one of the models that one is somewhat hesitant about declaring out of the Balance run until a rather later date.  There are, though, several points of difference between this and an undoubted Balance– the textured section, the separate metal threads, the clip and the “wire-rim” cap band.  That last item is a point of some confusion, as it was common to the lower end models for much of the Triumph era– the only thing telling apart an Admiral and a Craftsman is the point; in the latter case, it will bear the number 33 on its impression.  Do not fall into the error of basing the identification of a pen solely upon that band.
