There is very little difference to the casual observer between the
initial models for the Touchdown filling system, which were made only
in 1949 and 1950, and the vacuum-filler
models which preceded them. From my point of view, this makes
for a very nearly perfect pen-- a better girth than the "Thin Model" versions
which followed along, but an infinitely easier repair than the previous
filler.
Specifications: Medium 14K point. Touchdown
filler. Spring-loaded clip.
Condition: Astonishing, really. The picture above
exaggerates any matting to the body and trim substantially. To
the unaided eye, it might as well be a new pen apart from the ink
window, which is clear but a rather dark amber.
Location: My collection.
Repairs:
Seal and sac replaced, cleaning inside and out.
For Sale?: No.
