Pilot Plumix

Black pen with gold furniture and a short arrow clip

I don't have much to say about this pen.  It's a modern "art" pen, meant for calligraphy rather than casual writing.  It's an interesting design exercise-- those little yellow tabs, apart from putting one in mind of squids, act to prevent the pen from rolling off a table when it's set down, which is a very good idea indeed.  Like other Japanese cartridge pens, it's set up to allow the cartridge to be changed without having the cap off.  Unlike many other calligraphy pens, there's a size indicator on the section so you if you've got a set, you don't have to take the caps off to find the one you're looking for.

Specifications: "Medium" (1mm) italic steel point.  Cartridge (international-- this one was for the European market) filler.  14.7 cm long capped, 14.9 cm posted.

Condition: Very nearly as new-- by straining, one can find a single subtle scuff on the barrel.

Repairs: Cleaned some old ink from the feed.

Location: My collection.

For sale?:
