Parker Duofold pencil

Ivory spike-shaped pencil, with black marbling and gold fittings

A pencil made to match the Duofold Deluxe of 1928-9-- it's the biggest sort of Duofold pencil ever made.

Not much of a description, I grant.  I'm somewhat cool on pencils-- if I have the matching pen, it's a good thing to have, but a pencil in isolation doesn't move me to much glee.

Specifications:  1.1mm lead.

Condition:  Body plastic in excellent shape, with a light but clear body impression.  Brassing on the high points of the metal, including at the ends of the nose-cone.  There's a dent in the top, visible in the picture above and here.  The eraser is hard as sugar.  The propelling mechanism is not doing much, and I'm not smart enough in the way of pencils to attempt pulling the thing apart to see what the matter is.

Repairs:  Nothing.

Location:  Edmonton, Alberta, where I hope it has found a companion pen.

Sold for $21; I expect it would have gone for more if the mechanism were known to be working.
