I am a pen
collector... although some would say I am a pen acquirer.
"Collector" is reserved, it seems, for people who have a
theme to
their loot-- 1950s Parkers with metal bodies, or pens with transparent
bodies. I am less specific. I like fountain pens of
many
kinds. I'm not a miser, either-- I don't mind people looking
at
my pens. I figure you're all greater than arm's length away
and
not likely to break them by looking. On this page, I have
them in
an roughly chronological listing, with some dates of pen-interest
thrown in. Scroll down, and if
there's any
you want a closer look at, click away.
Where possible, the dates are for the specific pen shown, rather than
the model run. This is a lot easier for Parkers of the 1930s
and
1940s, as they actually have dates marked on them indicating not just
the year but the quarter of manufacture. Hovering your
pointer over the image will bring up my estimation of a pen's date.
Some of the pens shown here may not be mine-- this will be shown in the
description. This is also not as complete a listing as the main alphabetical listing.
